Rain Harvesting With Voda
Property Type: Semi-Detached House
Installed in: 2015
Klang, Selangor, Malaysia – We applaud Mrs Koh from Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, for her interest and initiative in preserving water by harvesting rain. Every day, a large amount of rain is drained away and wasted when it can be used to substitute treated and filtered water.
By using Voda Rainwater Harvesting System, Mrs Koh is estimated to be saving at least 20% of her household water consumption.
Although Voda looks small in size, a filled Voda is essentially equivalent to 60 5-litre watering cans.
Coincidentally, Mrs Koh’s home has a large reinforced concrete slab where Voda can be seated. Hence, Voda need not be wall mounted, yet does not take up too much space.
With Voda, aside from gardening, harvested rain can also be repurposed for many uses such as washing floors, flushing toilets and many other non-potable uses.
